Hawaii Pacific Model United Nations Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Honolulu, Hawaii, committed to cultivating the next generation of global leaders through immersive Model United Nations experiences. We bring together students from across the Pacific region to engage in rigorous debate, collaborative problem-solving, and diplomatic negotiation.
Our mission is to equip students with the critical thinking, public speaking, and cross-cultural communication skills needed to address the world's most pressing challenges. We envision a Pacific community of young leaders who are informed, engaged, and empowered to make a positive difference on the global stage.
In an increasingly interconnected world, the ability to understand diverse perspectives and engage constructively across cultural boundaries is more important than ever. Hawaii Pacific Model United Nations provides a unique platform where students from Hawaii and the broader Pacific can develop these essential skills in a competitive yet supportive environment, preparing them for careers in diplomacy, law, international business, and public service.
Our programs are designed to challenge and inspire students at every level of experience, from first-time delegates to seasoned conference veterans.
Our flagship annual conference brings together hundreds of student delegates from schools across Hawaii and the Pacific to simulate United Nations committees on current global issues.
Intensive workshops covering parliamentary procedure, position paper writing, public speaking, and negotiation tactics to prepare students for competitive conference participation.
Advanced programs for experienced delegates who wish to take on leadership roles as committee chairs, secretariat members, and conference organizers, building organizational and management skills.
Hawaii Pacific Model United Nations has grown into one of the premier youth diplomacy organizations in the Pacific region. Our alumni have gone on to study at prestigious universities, pursue careers in international relations, and serve in leadership positions across government, business, and civil society. We are proud to have contributed to a generation of Hawaii students who think globally and act with purpose.
